The Best Reviewed Movies of 2022
Jimmy Kimmel is up to host the Oscars ceremony this year for the third time. He previously hosted the event back in 2017 and 2018. Rihanna is also set to perform during the show following her performance at the Super Bowl Halftime show thanks to her song "Lift Me Up" being nominated for the Best Original Song category.
As for what to expect from the awards themselves, we are likely to see Everything Everywhere All at Once take multiple awards home considering it has 11 nominations this year. It's already become one of the most awarded movies of all time and will likely continue that trend at the Academy Awards this year. Angela Basset could also continue to make history by winning the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Wakanda Forever.
As for who will win the Best Picture category this year, fans and critics are divided. Everything Everywhere All at Once is definitely a strong contender and we even called it the best movie of 2022, but Top Gun: Maverick and Avatar: The Way of Water are both nominated as well. Check out a full list of Oscar nominations below.

Who Were Last Year's Oscar Winners?
Last year's Academy Awards saw CODA take the Oscar for best picture, which was a great win for an Apple TV+ original movie. Will Smith also won best actor for his role in King Richard, though he is better remembered for slapping Chris Rock. Finally, Jesica Chastain won best actress for her role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye. Take a look at the full list of 2022 Oscar winners for the rest.
